The Super Eagles U-20 team have advanced to the final of the WAFU B Championship, setting up a mouth-watering clash that could secure Nigeria's place at the next AFCON Youth Championship.

Nigeria's Super Eagles U-20 team continue their dominance of West African youth football after defeating Senegal 2-0 in a commanding semi-final performance to advance to the WAFU B Championship final.

The young Eagles, coached by Ibrahim Aliyu, delivered a disciplined and technically superior display to book their place in Saturday's decider against Ghana.

Goals from Ibadan-born forward Tunde Adebisi and Lagos-born winger David Nwachukwu were enough to see Nigeria through, with the team keeping a clean sheet for the third consecutive match in the tournament.

Head Coach Aliyu was effusive in his praise for the squad: "These young men have shown incredible character and quality. We have two days to prepare for the final and we are confident."

Victory in the final would secure Nigeria's automatic qualification for the next AFCON U-20 Championship, considered a crucial stepping stone toward the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Melody FM Sports Central will carry live commentary of Saturday's final. Kick-off is at 4pm Nigerian time.
