The popular Ibadan Food Festival is back, promising three days of culinary excellence featuring over 50 vendors showcasing the best of Yoruba cuisine and contemporary Nigerian food.
The Ibadan Food Festival, one of the city's most beloved annual events, is set to return bigger and better than ever this month, with organizers confirming a lineup of over 50 vendors and several internationally-trained chefs.
Running over three days at the Agodi Gardens, the festival will celebrate both traditional Yoruba cuisine and contemporary Nigerian food innovations. Attendees can expect everything from classic amala and ewedu to fusion dishes that blend local ingredients with international techniques.
Festival Director Bimpe Adewale told Melody FM: "This year we've really focused on giving traditional Ibadan cuisine the spotlight it deserves. We have grandmothers who've been cooking for 50 years sharing stages with young chefs who've trained in Paris and New York."
In addition to food, the festival will feature live music from Melody FM's lineup of artists, cooking demonstrations, a children's food education zone, and a special marketplace for food entrepreneurs.
Entry is free for children under 12. Adult tickets are ₦5,000 at the gate or ₦3,500 when purchased in advance online.
